Wasn't sure I needed this until the first time my kids climbed in and I realized how much safer they felt up there. The bar sits right at a good height and I can still stretch my legs out underneath it. Feels way sturdier than I expected for a clip-on piece.

The balustrade bar doubles as a footrest when I'm just lounging, which I didn't expect to use as much as I do. My whole family fits comfortably now, and nobody's called dibs on the edge spot since we added it.
